About Us

Managing Director John Davis established City Dining in 2009. John brings over 25 years of experience in senior operations and sales roles with some of the UK’s biggest contract caterers to a business with a mission that is simple; deliver first class food and impeccable service at affordable prices.

The company has steadily grown to a company that employs over 50 professional staff, and is the preferred hospitality partner to some of London’s premier blue-chip clients, including LVMH Group (Dior, Tag Heuer, Kenzo, Givenchy, De Beers, Louis Vuitton, etc.), Wireless Group (talkSPORT, talkRadio & Virgin Radio) Ralph Lauren, Bank of Cyprus, to name but a few. We also provide private hospitality services, including weddings and private parties at numerous venues across London and the home counties.

We understand that all events require faultless planning, whether it be a private or corporate event, and our operations team will meet your needs seamlessly. We take care of absolutely everything, allowing you to relax and enjoy the company of your guests.

City Dining offers the full spectrum of hospitality services from workplace catering and banqueting for larger numbers, to intimate family gatherings or private dining experiences for the chosen few. Our team here at City Dining have done it all before.

The kitchen brigade is led by Executive Chef Dan Whitehouse, who has drawn on years of experience to put his expertise in to all our menus. He can provide bespoke menus on request to cater for any type of event and any size, regardless of style of cuisine, dietary or religious requirements.

Since the very beginning City Dining has worked to integrate as many sustainability initiatives as possible across our venues. These have included limiting our packaging and paper use, introducing organic composting for our food waste, eco-friendly menu development (food miles & carbon footprint reduction), glass, cardboard & aluminium recycling and use of recycled items (such as cutlery and furniture) in many venues.

To us, sustainability is about logic. It is about asking the question as to how things can be done in the “greenest” way with the least planetary impact. It has been a cultural shift in our organisation which has been embraced by the team and now runs through all areas of the business.
